HERE seminar “Ranking of HEIs – pros and contras – how is ranking linked to quality in HE, and EU integration process” was held

HERE seminar “Ranking of HEIs – pros and contras – how is ranking linked to quality in HE, and EU integration process” was held today, at the premises of the Ministry of Education in Podgorica, and it was organized by the National Erasmus+ Office and the Higher Education Reform Experts team (HERE team), with the support of the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme.

In the contemporary academic world, ranking is imposed as an obligation, and it has a great impact both at the institutional as well as national level, and is of great importance to policy-making, given that it makes part of the legislation. The seminar served as an opportunity to present and consider this topic from various aspects. The significance and the role of ranking, a number of advantages and disadvantages, as well as various methodologies and approaches to ranking have been discussed.

Prof. Melita Kovačević, from the University of Zagreb, was the guest lecturer at the seminar. Presentations are available at the following link.
